About DudeWare

Founded in 2008, DudeWare is a small UK based software development partnership owned and ran by friends Marc McCann and Robert Blackburn.

We have known each other since High School and have always had a keen interest in developing software so it seemed natural that with the advent of the iPhone SDK we would work together on some applications and enter the software industry. The iPhone SDK has allowed us to start making quality software and realise a profit with very little overhead costs as would usually be required by other platforms and any other method of distribution.

Collectively we have good knowledge of C/C++/Objective-C/C#, Visual Basic 6/Visual Basic.Net, Java, HTML & basic Intel Assembler. We are both experienced Windows & Mac/iPhone developers and have a strong background in developing software from idea to finished product.

Marc is one of the founders of DudeWare. As well as working at DudeWare he works as a Network Field Technician. His programming knowledge is all self taught and done in his spare time. His main programming skills are in C/C++/C#/Objective-C, Visual Basic 6 and Intel x86 Assembler. Marc is responsible for the development of applications as well as the overall product design and marketing.

When he's not working/developing Marc is usually either spending time with his family or trying to perfect his seemingly terrible espresso and latte making skills! His other interests include:- Thai Boxing, reading and enjoying films in all their HD glory!

Robert Blackburn

Robert is also one of the founders of DudeWare. He is currently studying for a BSc (Hons) in Computing at the university of Bolton and working as a software developer. His programming knowledge is mainly self taught and all his productive work is done in his spare time. His skills encompass a wide range of languages including C/C++/Objective-C/Visual Basic/Visual Basic.Net & Java. Robert is responsible for the development of applications as well as the financial and legal aspects of DudeWare.

When in need of a break from the virtual world of ones and zeros Robert is usually found constructing weird and wonderful remote controlled flying machines which he regularly flies at Rochdale BMFA indoor fly in. Other interests include:- Electronics and playing guitar.
